As we are all aware, taking care of the environment is an unrenounceable commitment. The routes to take to protect the Earth and all its content are several: preserving living species and biodiversity,  preventing the pollution of rivers and seas, reducing the emissions of gas and the greenhouse effect are only some of the reasons why each of us has a “duty” that has to be pursued and fulfilled.

Some of Italnastri’s products have been specifically conceived and produced to have a minimal environmental impact whilst ensuring excellent printability and behaviour during the production process. One of these is a product specially designed by Italnastri for labeling with clear film,  front made of cellulose acetate, suitable for wash-off applications: the 0036.119 ITALPP PHANE TRASP.45 HT3-IT9500/WO- SIL.PET 30 R.
The front is produced by limiting to the utmost the emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2, made from wood pulp deriving from controlled and renewable plantations. The biodegradability and compostability of this front material have been tested and certified by the EN13432:2000 European standard, full degradability is reached within 6 weeks.
 
To date no self-adhesive has ensured a similar performance. However, good levels of respect for the environment can be achieved also with good production practices: the IT95000/WO adhesive has been  produced by opting for environmentally friendly techniques, by using a water-based technology with low emissions while maintaining excellent adhesion and appearance performance and using no solvents in the production process.
